​My father is a doctor, my mother is a nurse. So of course, I pursued film production right out of college.

​

Then at the age of 26, I started to show signs and symptoms of arthritis. Swollen joints,  intense fatigue, difficulty standing for any period of time. After many misdiagnoses and dramas, I was finally diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) in 2005.

​

At the time, the treatment options were limited, and frankly, I had a really bad experience with the medical system by then, so I was not eager to pursue major injections of immunosuppressants.  A good friend of mine had just finished acupuncture school in Boston, and she suggested I find someone in my insurance network.

​

My first experience with acupuncture was life-changing. Not only did it help to alleviate the fatigue and brain fog, I felt lighter in my joints and more positive than I had in years. After 10 sessions I was finally managing my symptoms.  I had to learn more about how acupuncture works. My medical brain was activated and I haven't looked back since.

​

I graduated from acupuncture school in 2008 with a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine. This includes acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, and a lot of other obscure modalities. I got my clinical doctorate in acupuncture soon after.

 

​I have a lot of direct experience treating sports injuries, chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, anxiety/depression, fertility issues, and more. I couldn't be more grateful to be a part of this community.
