My path to Chinese medicine started as persistent feeling that something was missing. I left home at 18, moved across the country, got my undergrad degree, moved to Seattle, all while never being able to shake the feeling that my life was being lived on paper.

 

Before long I began having systemic health issues - nothing that western medicine could place or diagnose as a specific problem. I knew there was something deeper going on and that there was meaning behind my symptoms. 

 

While studying under a western herbalist, I had my first exposure to Chinese pattern recognition and diagnosis. I remember it being the first time I felt like I belonged to the world. 

 

A medicine so complex and thorough that can place any and every expression of the human condition as belonging to nature is what finally called me home. 

 

I went on to receive my Master’s degree from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida, and later my Arizona State licensure and NCCAOM Board Certification.

 

I see a health journey as a path back to oneself. Nobody is exempt from nature, and there is a place for you to land too.
